Some of you may be familiar with Charming Charlie, but I was introduced to the brand last week. I browsed the
website a bit before my trip to the store and thought
“Cute!” but when I stepped foot into their
Edgewater, NJ location, my thoughts were more like “OH MY GOODNESS, WHY HAVEN’T I HEARD OF THIS PLACE
BEFORE, THIS IS TRULY JEWELRY HEAVEN AND I DON’T WANT TO
LEAVE!”.
I perused the store with the team from JWALK and picked out
goodies to take home. Everything in the store is organized by
color, which makes shopping super simple. I usually gravitate
towards gold, but because of the setup I made an effort to visit
the other more colorful parts of the store.
I’ve been wearing all my picks nonstop (outfit posts to
come). If you’ve been to Charming Charlie, let’s
gush in the comments. If you haven’t and you live in NYC,
we can collectively beg them to open up a store here :)
Confession: I rarely shop on vacation because
I’m usually too busy loafing around, sightseeing, eating,
and drinking. On my trip to New Orleans a few weeks ago, I asked
Mickey
for recommendations on places to see/go and I couldn’t
pass up the opportunity to hop on a street car and stroll down
Magazine Street in the Garden District. Magazine Street is
filled with cute little boutiques that begged me to take
everything in the store home with me, restaurants, and bars.
Sounds like heaven, right?
Two of my favorite boutiques on the stretch were
Naaz
(3105 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA) and
Rise
(3650 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA). Both boutiques were curated to perfection
and both featured a nice mix of standout pieces and basics. I
took my time shopping and picked out items from both (some
jewelry, some clothing, and a candle) and would definitely go
back next time I’m in NOLA.
Jewelry hanging in the window at Rise
Earrings displayed in a vintage picture frame at Rise
Statement necklaces at Naaz
Votivo Candles at Naaz. Seriously the best smelling candles,
I burn mine daily.

Reagan Charleston jewelry
More jewelry at Rise
Bow ties by a local designer, sold at Rise
Have you been to NOLA? Where did you shop?
If anyone ever asks me what my favorite accent color is,
I’m always going to respond “GOLD!”. Nothing
makes me feel cooler than donning some statement gold jewelry
or, in this case, gold and black sunnies. I spent Sunday
afternoon brunching and working with
Christine
and decided to wear something casual and fun.

Nothing feels better than soaking up the warmth of the sun
shining on you. Spring is taking its time, but she makes guest
appearances here and there. When she comes to visit, I always
take advantage and enjoy the day. I took a break from some blog
work on Saturday to frolic around outside and snap some photos
for the blog. Here’s another helping of printed pants,
this time floral.
It totally felt like I took a weekend trip to Seville, Spain.
Now if only that were true….
There goes that travel bug again!
